Instagram announced a new feature that will help you save more time: The ability to post to multiple Instagram accounts at the same time! Despite years of resistance from Instagram co-founders Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom, rumor has it that Instagram is working on a native “regram” feature first began popping up late last year.
Last week, Instagram confirmed the rumors to TechCrunch, noting that they are “rolling out this feature to provide a better experience for people who often post to multiple accounts.”
Here is everything you should know about this new feature:
How to post to multiple Instagram accounts at once?
The new feature is going to roll out in the coming days; but, unfortunately, it’ll only be available to iOS users. (The company hasn’t mentioned when it will come to Android, but we guess it will happen in the next few months). When you access the new feature on your Instagram account, you will notice the option to “Post to other accounts” just as you are about to share a new post. It shows up on the same screen that you add tags and captions.
You can toggle multiple accounts “on,” to share your prepared post to each of them.
Note! You cannot alter the post for different Instagram accounts that you are posting to. The photo, video, captions, and tags will be the same for each of your toggled “on” accounts. So you should use it only if you are sharing a post to accounts with similar communities. For instance, if you have several travel-related accounts on Instagram, posting to them at the same time could be an excellent way to save time. On the other hand, if you have accounts with different communities, it is better for you not to use this feature.
We also recommend using this feature as less as possible, because posting the same photo or video to each of your accounts (even those with the same niche) could make you look lazy and ingenuine. Try to customize your content for your different accounts, whether by writing a new caption, entering different hashtags, and even a different photo filter.
