Two of the newest and hottest Instagram features get into testing to make this platform even more fun and easier to use: Video Scrubbing and Collective Video Viewing.
Video Scrubbing Option
Many users complain about the lack of an option to enable them to scrub videos on Instagram. Though very short, when it comes to finding a specific moment in a video, 60 seconds seems like a lifetime to wait. With the video scrubbing feature of Instagram, users can now scrub their fingers on the time-bar of videos and go straight to the moment they look for without having to wait. If they roll out the option, it will be of significant use.
Collective Video Viewing Feature
The other option, Collective Video Viewing, allows distanced users to watch videos on Instagram together and see each other’s’ reactions. When the user starts the option, a split screen appears on the phone screen, where you can customize your looks (adding face filters, light adjustment, etc.) and go to the video you want to watch with your friend. During the video, you can watch your friend’s expressions from the other side on a small screen in the corner of your phone.
Since the release of Instagram Live in 2016 and Facebook’s WatchParty in 2018, the booming popularity of multi-participatory options has proved to be of great interest to the users. Therefore, collective video viewing on Instagram will undoubtedly lead to another valuable success for Instagram. This option makes more people want to gather together and share unforgettable moments of social activity.
At the moment, only two concurrent users can use the communal video watching option on Instagram.
On the go…
Though Instagram has not yet announced the final decision on their time and date of the release, hacker and reversed engineer Jane Manchun Wong declared that these potential Instagram Newest Features are going to be present soon on the platform.
